3rd Six Weeks
Dear Ms. Langley,
As an English student, this six weeks I think I did a pretty good job. I stayed engaged throughout the six weeks and mostly turned everything in on time. This six weeks I think I deserve a 96, because I participated in class and during work time. During the reading time, I finished the second harry potter book and started the third one. Right now I’m almost done with the third book. The three books I read this six weeks were Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. These books made me grow as a reader because I got out of my comfort zone. I would’ve never thought that I would be the one to enjoy the harry potter series, but because I was able to reach out of my comfort zone, I am now obsessed with the series and glad I ventured out. I enjoy reading more now and I enjoy reading during class and late at night in my bed. My plans for reading are to continue the harry potter series, so during winter break and into the next semester, I will continue to read the books. Somewhere you could see some thoughts about my reading is on the padlet posts, where I respond to the daily prompts. As a writer, I think that this six weeks were good in regards to my writing. This six weeks the class really focused on the Citizen essay. During the weeks, I would contribute to my outline of my essay so that I could be prepared for the essay. My learning in this six weeks has reflected growth towards my learning goals in my reading and writing because I read more this six weeks, which is a habit I’ve been wanting to accomplish. I think in regards to my writing I think my essay was pretty good. This six weeks was I pretty good at working on my habits. I’ve been reading more and procrastinating less and doing things when they’re assigned. I’ve taken the responsibility of an English student to make reading one of my priorities. My goals for next semester are to read even more than I am right now because even if it’s more than the last six weeks, I could be doing better. Overall, I think this was a productive semester and six weeks, and I am looking forward to the next semester.
