4th six weeks
Dear Ms. Langley,
As an English student this six weeks, I would say i’ve done a good job. I participated during class and turned in my work on time. I’ve been keeping up with reading our Toni Morrison books, and the one I’m reading is the bluest eye. Also, In my free time I’m also reading the 4th harry potter book, the goblet fire. I think that the assigned books that we read together as a class is a great assignment, because personally I would never choose the book if I was looking for one to read, but I’m glad that I’m reading the Bluest eye because It’s a great book so far. Also, Im almost finished with the Goblet of fire, and my next choice reading book will be the next book in the harry potter series, The Order of the Phenonix. Personally, I think that my reading progress for this six weeks has been great, and I stay engaged while reading and keep up with it outside of class. As a writer, this six weeks has also been a great learning experience towards my writing. The things I wrote this six weeks were two rhetorical analysis essays, one about the letter from birmingham jail and the other from toni morrisons nobel peace prize speech, and an assertion. I think that doing the rhetorical analysis essays were great practice and I think I did well on rhetorical analysis. The assertion was pretty good too. At the beginning of the year, I wanted to become a better writer over time, and I think that this six weeks has showed progress in regards to writing from past six weeks. I think over each six weeks i continue to improve on writing and hope to reach my goals that I set for myself at the end of the year. I think responsibility wise, I have been improving on that also each six weeks, from turning my things in on time and pushing myself to work harder and to have a better understanding of things for this class. My goals for next six weeks are to just keep on the same track of turning things in on time and keeping up with reading, and maybe participating more in lit circles. Overall, I think this six weeks was pretty productive and I grew as a reader and a writer. I think this six weeks I earned a 95.
