5th six weeks
Dear Ms. Langley,
I think the grade I deserve for this six weeks is a 95. I have used the learning goals that I have to help better myself in the classroom and have shown this six weeks. The first learning goal that I feel like I have is reading practice that continues outside of the classroom. I’ve grown to love reading and I like to read at least 30 minutes a day. I’ve definitely grown from the beginning of the year because I did not like reading very much, and it felt like a chore, but now it’s become one of my favorite things to do. The second learning goal that I feel like I have is asking complex questions and persists to research answers for them. I make it a priority to understand things that I am learning about, and if I don’t understand something I ask questions and look things up until I understand. The third learning goal I think I have is practicing effective self-reflection, self-evaluation, and metacognition. I definitely make it a priority to understand what I’m doing right and wrong to better myself and better my learning. These goals have helped me prepare for the AP exam because I know how to extend my learning to help me better understand the content, which is good when studying for the exam. Also, reading outside of the classroom every day has really expanded my knowledge of different types of writing. One learning goal I feel I need to work on is demonstrating successful student habits. I definitely struggled a lot this six weeks with turning things in on time and keeping up with my work. I know that I was going through a few problems this six weeks and I understand now that I shouldn’t let things like that get in the way of being successful in this class. I now know better and will do better next six weeks. The second learning goal I feel like I need to work on is writing in general. I don’t really write for personal things and only write when I need to for school. I think if I wrote more outside of the classroom, It would help me become a better writer for school as well. I think that next six weeks I will start writing outside of class more so I can further my writing skills. I’m definitely going to work on these learning goals next six weeks and feel like I can reach out to Ms. Langley for support if I ever need it.
